Recycle dead batteries, sell scrap and surplus for cash, or buy used and reconditioned stock. One form gets you quotes from vetted recyclers and buyers.
Yes. Lead-acid batteries (car, forklift, golf cart, UPS, marine) are bought by weight for their lead. Working forklift and golf cart batteries, healthy EV packs, and surplus lithium and LiFePO4 can be resold for more than scrap.
How much does battery recycling cost?
It depends on chemistry and volume. Lead-acid usually pays you. Lithium-ion ranges from a small fee to a payout depending on chemistry. Alkaline, LFP, and damaged lithium usually cost a per-pound fee. Use the estimator for a range.
Can I buy used batteries through Rebattr?
Yes. Tell us your spec (voltage, capacity, condition, quantity) and we check inventory from recyclers, reconditioners, and surplus sellers.
Which batteries can go in the trash?
Almost none. Lithium, lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, and button cells should never go in the trash. Household alkalines are legal in the trash in most states, but not California. Use the checker above for your state.
Do you cover my area?
Yes. Rebattr routes requests to recyclers and buyers serving all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
